Ma Peihua: the “Belt and Road” is becoming a path of cooperation, a path of prosperity and a path of openness

      On April 22, 2019, the Second World Finance Forum and the “Belt and Road” Cooperation Beijing Forum co-hosted by the Center for BRICS and Global Governance (CBGG) , the World Finance Forum (WFF) and the Reinventing Bretton Woods Committee (RBWC) was successfully held in Beijing. Ma Peihua, vice Chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) addressed the opening ceremony. Ma Peihua first congratulated the opening of the second World Finance Forum and the “Belt and Road” Cooperation Beijing Forum. 

      Ma Peihua mentioned that the “Belt and Road” initiative is an international economic cooperation initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping. The most important thing is to build infrastructure as the main line, strengthen all-round connectivity, explore new momentum for world economic growth, and create a new platform for international economic cooperation. Over the past six years, the “Belt and Road” initiative has achieved remarkable achievements. It has become an international cooperation platform and a popular international public product that is widely participated in the world today. After six years of great practice, the “Belt and Road” is becoming a path of cooperation, a path of prosperity, a path of openness that will benefit the people of all countries. The “Belt and Road” Cooperation Beijing Forum was held at this important time on the eve of the second “Belt and Road” International Cooperation Forum, so that it became even more significant. He believed that after in-depth dialogue and exchanges in this forum, it will definitely play an important role as an international think tank, and effectively promote the “Belt and Road” international cooperation towards high-quality development.
